⚖️ Role: Legal Intern – LAP
This internship offers an immersive opportunity to contribute to WeRize’s Loan Against Property (LAP) operations. As an intern, you’ll support the Chief Manager – Legal in ensuring smooth legal processes nationwide, from coordinating with law firms for due diligence to maintaining internal compliance records.
📝 Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with advocates and law firms for property title verification
- Assist in document collection and charge creation on mortgaged properties
- Coordinate with government bodies for rectification or release of property charges
- Support vendor onboarding and manage performance evaluations
- Ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation across mortgage operations
- Contribute to internal legal advisories and newsletters for staff awareness
- Maintain dashboards and MIS tools to track legal workflows
🎓 Ideal Candidate Profile
- Law graduate (3-year or 5-year LL.B.) from a recognized university
- 0–2 years of legal experience, preferably in NBFCs/Banks focused on secured lending
- Strong understanding of property laws, SARFAESI, Contract Act, Stamp Act, etc.
- Tech-savvy with working knowledge of MS Office and legal databases
- Ability to communicate across teams and handle external legal liaison
